What the name means
Wonabrother stands for “I won a brother”. A brother isn’t only someone you grow up with. It’s someone who listens, stays and shows up when things get heavy. Friends like that can carry a man through the hardest times, and every man can win one. Our mark is an angel made of straight lines, standing beside you rather than above you. Its wings form a W.
How you start talking.
Everyone on Wonabrother is a brother, whether he needs to talk right now or has time to listen. Your contact details stay hidden until you agree.

Send a request
Browse the directory for brothers who fit. A few lines are enough to ask if he has time for a conversation.
Contact once he says yes
When he accepts, you see his email and phone number. Until then nobody sees yours, and you don’t see his.
Become a brother.
Your profile appears in the directory with your name, country, languages and what you’re looking for. Only men whose request you accept see your email and phone.

Who sees my phone number and email?
Only the brother whose request you accept, or the one you share them with after he says yes. The directory only shows your name, country, languages, ways to talk and what you write about yourself.
Am I struggling enough to sign up?
Yes. There’s no minimum. You can reach out because something’s on your mind, because you feel lonely, or because you just want to talk to someone outside your everyday life.
Are these therapists?
No. Our brothers are men like you. Wonabrother is no substitute for therapy or medical help. In an acute crisis, call a crisis line (in Germany the TelefonSeelsorge on 0800 111 0 111) or your local emergency number.
Can I talk and listen?
Yes. Choose “Both” when you sign up. You can change it in your profile at any time, for example when you’re doing better and want to give something back.
Does it cost anything?
No. Wonabrother is non-profit and free for you.
What does the name mean?
Wonabrother means “I won a brother”. Friends who listen and stay can become brothers, not by blood but by showing up. That’s what we want to make possible for every man. Our mark is an angel made of straight lines whose wings form a W.
How do I delete my profile?
Sign in and use “Delete account” at the bottom of your profile. Your account, profile, contact details and requests are removed for good.
Why do I need an account?
So the directory stays private. Only signed-in brothers can see profiles, and your email and phone stay hidden until you accept a request. You can sign up with email, Google or Apple.
